And in my last post I had nothing against Lady S Shiva, but I found it very unlikely that there would be such a spot to farm them, and the only other way of obtaining that many was as I mentioned. well I guess I came to my conclusion a little too quickly, and I'll look into it. But from my dealings, the people who sell more than 2-3 colossals in their GW life time are very luck Ha'ers/Chest runners, or more typically people who spam chat looking for them cheap in game.

If these are not HoH only drops then it's gotta be the challenge mission. I'm going to experiment with some builds tonight for that area.

I gave up farming myself one and bought a req.13 max one.
The guy I bought it from said it was a drop from HoH, maybe you can farm that place

to shru: to become a merch u need to farm stuff for sell first, prove me wrong if u had 10k chest open and still broke. i do trade a lot which gives me little knowledge about price, but if u passed a deal like "gold max r9 ele sword for 100k", don't blame me for taking it. and on this char, i had 3 ele sword (r12-sold on guru when NF just came out, r11-selling on high end, r9-holding for myself, not the one i'm selling on high end) and 2 colossal (r11 selling on high end, a r9 no inscription slot which i trashed right the way-now i know how much it still worth), the other r10 colossal i'm selling for a friend who got lucky in HoH-where i hardly go after reach rank 3, so can't tell u the drop rate. but for 4200 chest only 5 drops, u tell me how rare they are, so don't cry to me about 10 hour farming no drops, or did i lie to u and stuff like that. my acc has 25 mil worth item and cash in it, might not be much to some ppl(like those beta players with tons of ecto in their storage), but i worked hard on every gil, so i don't give a damn about what u think.

Lady Shiva, I mean no insult to you, and I accused you of nothing, I just simply stated that people obtaining large amounts of these swords within a week usually don't get them as drops themselves. Yet, It seems again I have jumped to a few conclusions on what little (and faulty) information I've found in this thread. I think of farming and chest running as different catagories, so when I heard that you farmed two, I assumed you actualy farmed two. I myself have never tried farming for colossal swords, but I have run over a thousand chests and your results seem correct. I have recieved 2 deadswords, and even though they are not expensive anymore because of actual farming, they were one of the rare sword drops. My friends agree to my findings having also obtained one of these rarer items every 500 chests or so. Of course this isn't exact, but it's just something I noticed.

To sum it up for anyone not willing to read: anyone looking for these swords, HoH and chest running is your best bet.

just to let everyone know, I just got a r11 gold colossal scim doing dajkah inlet challenge mission

edit: it's inscribable max, and I got it in a full hench/hero team just trying to spiff up some heroe's armor, looks like I got kinda lucky

look for this in high end =)

it was the third round, from some regular corsair (I think an archer because he was kind of far away). If you head left to the first guild lord, it was his pack, one of the archers very close to him up above.

Colossal Scimitar, req 11, max, goes for about 600-900k (According to this thread), so 600-900k should give you a good impression on how much you're gonna make on it, and it might come in handy to set a b/o..

More on topic, I actually also heard 1 person had a CS drops from a Vabbi chest. Not sure if that is 100% accurate + it was quite a while ago.

About the Dajkah Inlet Mission;
I've tried with some of my characters who have access to the mission (Warrior, Monk, Necro & Dervish) with some common farming builds but no luck so far.. Maybe a duo run would do it?

Either way it seems Dajkah Inlet is the way to go

If you want my two cents, me and my guildie just started doing this dajkah mission today, and we are collecting our stolen armors, they are selling an average 5k a piece, and we net 2-3 per 15 minutes, good profit, save em up, go with heroes henchies, clean up the place, and you still have chance for a godly item. thats about 40k/hour...better than most of these farming builds can pull off these days.....

Except for the fact that the drop rate for stolen armors goes to the crapper after you receive 3-4 of them. Guild Wiki FTW

When I did Dajkah mission when I first got there (just after release) I got 4 armours and then didnt get another set at all on my war.
Went there yesterday on my war to see if I could get lucky with a collossal did 2 runs and got 4 armours! So maybe it's similar to the keyless chests and it resets after a time.
Didn't get a sword though

good god, do you people see what these are going for? Mine, r11, is at 100k + 100 ectos after a day and a half listed. People are going b/o on r10s at 100k + 155 ectos. I can only imagine r9s.

Why the hell are people paying so much for these? It's pretty cool looking, definitely big, is the drop rate on these insanely low? Or the fact (if it is indeed so) that there's no way to farm these? I'm at a loss here.......

I can't remember the last time I've seen a pricing guide significanly UNDERestimate a skin's price.

WELL I CAN TELL YOU I KNOW 1 PLACE IN THIS TREAD WICH I CAN CONFIRM.

That place is MODDOK CRESIVE (MISSION). A corsair (dont remember what kind of) dropped a req11 inscribable for me there

But it was in the first week of the release of nightfall. I didnt know the value of it and sold it for 60k (looooooooooooooooooool) to someone.
